Illinois rock duo Ashland—comprised of members Asia Woodward and Aaron Wood—are preparing for the release of their new 10-track album, titled Wildfire, which is due to drop on March 17. Today, we have the honor of sharing the music video for the band’s newest single, “No Good.”

“No Good” is bursting with a similar spark and potential found in the earliest (and even current) works of bands like Paramore and PVRIS—obvious comparisons but apt nonetheless. There’s nothing wrong with being categorized with two of the best in the genre. This is to say that Ashland are making their mark and Wildfire is sure to help it stick.

“‘No Good’ is about a toxic, yet common addiction to the temporary madness of falling in love,” the band says. “To bring the song to life, we filmed an accompanying music video with St. Louis area videographer J. Ibanez. In the video, this madness is portrayed by a lead character who seems to objectify her many lovers. Eventually her eyes are opened to the damage she’s done and she’s left with a decision to make.”
