The xx are set to kick off the new year right by releasing their third studio album, I See You, next Friday, January 13. We’ve already heard lead single “On Hold” and watched the music video for it, but it seems the trio aren’t content just giving us one song before the album. The band has released a second track called “Say Something Loving,” and it’s as lovely as the title implies.

The track finds Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim singing of the giddy feelings that come from falling in love with someone. Highlighted in the video description, the line “You say something loving, it’s so overwhelming / The thrill of affection feels so unfamiliar” perfectly sums up the lovestruck eagerness and joy of the song. As always, Jamie xx’s work on the keyboard and production is masterful, and the instrumental is just as uplifting as the lyrics. Give “Say Something Listen” a listen:

Pre-orders for I See You are currently ongoing. If the first two songs from the album are any indication, I See You is shaping up to be another fantastic album for The xx.
