New York four-piece Makeshift create music with elements that come together in a formula that’s tried and true within the realms of pop-punk and alternative rock while managing to also be entirely refreshing. This has never been more evident than on their upcoming EP, titled Morale, which is due out this Friday, January 13. (Pre-orders and various merch available through Bandcamp.)

Luckily for us (and you), we’re streaming the seven-track effort in its entirety today so that you have the opportunity to experience the newest sounds from Makeshift a bit before Morale‘s official release. There’s nothing makeshift about it really; this is a rock-solid effort that you can depend on. It’s one of those releases that manages to feel mature and youthful simultaneously. It’s relatable and fun and ofttimes quite powerful.

“We are so happy with this record and so proud of what this project has become,” says bassist Dan Burke. “‘Morale’ was two years in the making and we’re so excited to finally be able to share it with everyone. We feel that these songs are a great representation of how our band has grown and matured since our last release. These seven songs mean a lot to all of us and we’re eager to see what everyone thinks of this record that we’ve been working on for so long.”

Without further ado, here’s Morale. You’re welcome. Listen now, thank us later.

In addition to the release of a new EP, Makeshift is also on tour right now and still have a handful of dates left, all of which can be found below.
