“The Trapper And The Furrier” is one of the standout tracks on Regina Spektor‘s Remember Us To Life, which is one of the standout albums of the year. After “Small Bill$,” it’s also the next song to get the music video treatment from Spektor.

Spektor took to Facebook to share the video, which finds her in a stairwell. The video just consists of the songstress shrouded in a dark hood, singing into the camera. For a song with as much weight and seriousness as “The Trapper And The Furrier,” it’s a good fit. Spektor included a message with the video, which reads:

“A few weeks ago I had a secret meeting in a stairwell and we shot this little video for ‘The Trapper And The Furrier.’ With all that is going on I wanted to share it. Good luck to us all. Good luck to our world. There are many kinds of paradise… Let’s be on the side of those in need. Let’s be on the side of those who love. Let’s be on the side of those who care, who participate, who try… And if not all that, then at least, let’s be on the side of those who pay their taxes.”
