Netflix has been stepping up their original programming as of late. This year alone we’ve received shows and movies like Luke Cage, The Get Down, and Tallulah. If horror is more your speed than any of those, you’re in luck. Netflix released a launch trailer for their latest spooky offering, the home invasion film Mercy.

Matriarch of the family, Grace (Constance Barron), is dying. This brings brothers Brad, Travis, Ronnie, and TJ back home together to say goodbye. Since it’s a horror movie, things go sideways. A group of masked assailants enter the house, and the trailer promises that some dark and nasty family secrets might be to blame. It’s a pretty standard setup for a movie, but the execution by writer-director Chris Sparling looks to elevate Mercy into a solid, entertaining horror flick.

Mercy stars Barron, James Wolk, Caitlin FitzGerald, Dan Ziskie, and Michael Godere. You can watch the trailer below, and stream the movie now on Netflix.
