The movie focuses on Obama’s (played by Devon Terrell) time at Columbia University in New York, and looks to explore how he became the man that entered the White House in 2008. We see Obama walking through various locales, including the university, New York City, and a couple of nightclubs. When we finally see Terrell’s face, it’s with a shirt and tie on, signaling the transformation into the future President.
Barry is directed by Vikram Gandhi and also features Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) alongside Terrell. The film arrives on Netflix on December 16.
