For the second year in a row, Pittsburgh is taking innovation and entrepreneurship by storm with the newly formed Thrival Festival. Known to many as a dying steel town, members of the non-profit Thrill Mill are striving to bring the riverside city in Pennsylvania back to the vibrant, thriving city it once was. Following a week of talks, panels, and workshops, the event will be capped off with a two-day music festival, located in a converted industrial brownfield.
Taking place September 23-24, the Thrival music festival lineup includes headliners the Chainsmokers, CHVRCHES, and Thievery Corporation, alongside Metric, TY Dolla $ign, and Lettuce.
Additional acts include Sir the Baptist, Hudson Mohawke, Daya, Rubblebucket, Cheat Codes, Wild Child, Bastard Bearded Irishmen, Meeting of Important People, Cappadonna, Killarmy, Wu Lords, Ezekiel XI, Beauty Slap, Brooke Annibale, Chalk Dino, Donora, and Balloon Ride Fantasy.
And the celebration doesn’t stop when the show ends; after parties are set to take place at the Rex Theater with producer and DJ Buku hosting on Friday night, and psychedelic rock band Chris Robinson and the Brotherhood finishing off the festival on Saturday.
Tickets for Thrival Festival begin at $50 and are available here.
