Regina Spektor is returning with a new album on September 30, and we can’t wait to hear it. We’ve already gotten a taste of the album with “Bleeding Heart,” and we now have another song off the upcoming Remember Us To Life. Spektor premiered “Small Bill$” over at Stereogum, and it has us even more eager to get our hands on the full album.

The song finds Spektor telling tales of monetary misfortune over a deep, driving beat and quiet strings. More pop songs need to include a string section. As Spektor has now proven, every song can be improved by a string section. The hook especially finds Spektor rolling along a series of “las” that cast her unique vocals in an eerie light.

Give “Small Bill$” a listen for yourself below. Remember Us To Life—Spektor’s seventh studio album—is due out on September 30 via Warner Bros. and Sire Records. Pre-orders are currently ongoing.
