Hailing from sunny Pensacola, Florida, Young Natives is a group rooted clearly in the now in terms of their musical influences. Bands like Bastille and Imagine Dragons are clear influences, which allows the band to create widescreen alt-pop songs built to be pumped through your car stereo as you cruise down the highway. Today, we’re debuting the music video for their brand new song “The Wind / The Boat,” a song inspired by the place they call home and the people they call friends. Young Natives comments:

“We love our hometown and our friends, so what better way to show that than writing a song about it and letting them shoot a video for it. It’s about making it to a place and time in your life where you finally feel at home and having an awesome support system of family and friends to share that place with.”

Young Natives’ “The Wind / The Boat” is available now via iTunes.

Young Natives has a handful of Florida gigs on the docket:

May 11th Vinyl Music Hall Pensacola, FL
