The members of West Virginia’s Dogjaw have been playing music together in various cobbled-together bands for the past decade, but Dogjaw itself wasn’t birthed until 2009, and in the seven years since, the band has popped out two full-lengths full of catchy, guitar solo-laden indie punk that is a blast to listen to—and, as you’ll learn today, to watch as well. We’re debuting the music video for “Can’t Take Much More” off of Dogjaw’s upcoming third LP, which is self-titled. Guitarist/vocalist Jim Price explains:
“Some things in life you can never escape. The song is about trying to become a responsible, working adult but the monkey on my back won’t leave me alone and is telling me I need to play music. The music video was conceived, shot and edited in less than 24 hours.”
Dogjaw’s self-titled album will be released May 5 via Artistic Integrity Records and can be pre-ordered here.
Dogjaw has a pair of shows booked for later this spring:
Friday, May 6 @ The Embassy in Cumberland, MD (record release show)
Friday, May 13 @ The Warren in Frostburg, MD
