Scary news coming out of Los Angeles: Jeremy Bolm, frontman for emotional hardcore unit Touché Amoré, was involved in a four-car pile-up on the 5 Freeway in Los Angeles last night after he left band practice. You can see a picture of his totaled car below. Thankfully, Bolm says. everyone survived the accident, and that “airbags are terrifying but saved me.” You can see his full comments below.
“So my night got really shitty after practice. I’m very thankful to be alive,” Bolm says via Instagram. “I was third in a four car crash. The car behind me thankfully swerved and just clipped me so I wasn’t smashed on both ends. This happened on the 5 freeway north right by dodger stadium. I was going 55 when I hit. Airbags are terrifying but saved me. Everyone is okay including myself. Very sore.”
In (hopefully) less life-threatening news, Touché Amoré is continuing to work on their fourth album, the followup to 2013’s spectacular Is Survived By. If they end up covering Thursday’s “Understanding In A Car Crash” as a bonus track or something, now you know why.
