‘JUNIOR PROM’ sees the Brooklyn-based duo kicking out an undeniably unique brand of high energy indie dance-pop on tracks like “International” (recently heard soundtracking ESPN’s NCAA College Basketball coverage) and the acclaimed new single, “Sheila Put The Knife Down, which comes alongside a fresh remix laid down from rapper/producer k.flay (https://soundcloud.com/kflay/junior-prom-sheila-put-the), and finds the poptastic tune transformed into an underground club banger.

Junior Prom – a.k.a. Mark Solomich and Erik Ratensperger – have leapt to the forefront of modern pop with their playful humor, quirky hooks, and genre-smashing sonic approach. Active musicians in innumerable indie and punk bands, the duo have quickly reaped ecstatic accolades from a range of national publications and influential music blogs, with NYLON hailing “Sheila Put The Knife Down” as “the perfect marriage of keyboard, guitars and a pop chorus.” “Unique and charming,” raved BuzzChips.com, while ARTISTDirect declared their songs “…as smart and sly as they are soaring. That’s the magic of Junior Prom –they make catchy music that’s still smart, warranting a much closer listen. Start paying attention to them now.”
