New Politics, the Brooklyn via Copenhagen based 3 piece rock band announced that they will be headlining a US tour set to start in January 14th at Warehouse in Houston, TX with Neon Gold’s Magic Man and opener Sleeper Agent.  Tickets will go on sale beginning November 1st at newpoliticsrock.com. Watch the tour announcement video here.

New Politics are currently on tour with GRAMMY Award winning singer-songwriter and pop culture icon P!nk.  They’ve also recently toured with 30 Seconds To Mars and with Fall Out Boy on their sold out comeback tour earlier this summer.

The band recently performed their hit single, “Harlem,” from their sophomore album, “A Bad Girl In Harlem,” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. After putting on such an unforgettable performance, Questlove tweeted the band with “COTDAMN @NewPolitics……MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!”.  The band also performed “Harlem” on Conan this summer.  The album was released this Spring via RCA Records and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers’ chart.  “Harlem” is a Top 5 hit at Alternative radio and is now crossing to Pop radio with major call letters such as KIIS LA, Sirius Hits 1 and KISS Boston already on board.  The single just had its biggest sales week almost 10 months after release and is up again this week. Following up “Harlem” at Alternative radio is, “Tonight You’re Perfect,” which was #1 most added at impact last week.

“Harlem” is currently featured in the trailer for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming holiday blockbuster “Frozen”.  Additionally, “Harlem” has been featured in the Taco Bell Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos commercial, a Windows 8 commercial and promo spots for America’s Got Talent.  In the world of sports, ESPN named New Politics “Artist of the Month”, the band performed on NBC Sports 2013 Dew Tour and “Harlem” is a featured track in EA’s yearly smash NHL ’14. In addition, New Politics performed “Harlem” on the “Logo NewNowNext Awards 2013”, Alternative Press has included New Politics as one of the “100 Bands You Need To Know In 2013” and were on the 2013 MTV Artist to Watch Tour.

New Politics are looking forward to hitting the road once again where they will continue to perform their riveting high energy sets which had Spin.com declaring their performance was “…the night’s most lasting take-away” during their performance at SxSW this year, just days after NPR’s “All Songs Considered” hand picked the band in their 2013 SxSW review.

New Politics are David Boyd (vocals, breakdancing), Soren Hansen (vocals/guitar) and Louis Vecchio (drums).
