Reprise Records’ Green Day have been nominated for three MTV EMAs (European Music Awards), in the categories of “Best Live”, “Best Rock”, and “Best World Stage”, the latter for their colossal performance at Rock Am Ring in Germany earlier this year. The 20th Anniversary MTV EMAs will take place on November 13th at the brand-new Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Green Day spent the summer touring the world, including performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK and a show at London’s Emirates Stadium that set a concert attendance record by selling all 60,000 of the venue’s tickets for the first time.
